304 Stainless is the most corrosion resistant steel used in the production of step bars. Other manufacturers use carbon steel inserts. Welding carbon steel to stainless steel is a corrosion breeding ground. When dissimilar metals come into contact with water it causes corrosion to both metal. Add salt to this equation and the corrosion process accelerates. Nasta threads its stainless inserts for added strength. Other manufacturers drill a hole and weld a nut to the back. At Nasta, we give you stainless plate brackets. Other manufacturers use painted carbon steel brackets, which will cause corrosion even to a stainless step bar. At Nasta, when we say stainless, we mean it. Other manufacturers use zinc or galvanized nuts and bolts. More mixing of metals to create a breeding ground for corrosion. Nasta puts its pipe in a hydraulic press which creates a deep cradle for the step pad. Some manufacturers barely press the pipe down at all. Nasta created a step pad that has excellent grip when wet. Each box has the part number and description printed clearly on the box, not small stickers, and clear easy to read instructions on quality paper. Nasta International, Inc. warrants all of its products found to be defective in workmanship or materials, and under normal use, to the original owner of the product, for the period that the original purchaser retains the vehicle to which it was initially installed. This limited warranty does not cover installation, removal, labor, freight, or other incidental damages.
